Kosovo has done a lot for the liberalisation of the visa regime. The European Commission and European Parliament share the same opinion on this.
This was declared today from Pristina by the EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society following a meeting with Kosovo’s deputy PM, Enver Hoxhaj.
“It’s important to continue talks with member countries in order for them to take a decision as soon as possible. Continue to have faith on yourself and work for your country. This is part of the process”, she said.
So far, Kosovo has signed the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union, however, it’s the only country in the region which has not yet been granted the visa free regime.
Meanwhile, Kosovo also faces another challenge, which relates to the fact that five EU member countries have not yet recognized its independence. /ibna/
