From Chancellor Angela Merkel’s office in Berlin, today, Kosovar Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla discussed with Christina Beinhoof the issue of visa liberalization for Kosovo and the dialogue with Serbia.
Haradinaj-Stublla posted on Facebook that, during the meeting with the First Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs and Security, she requested the direct participation of Chancellor Angela Merkel both in the visa issue and in the dialogue process.
“We had an in-depth discussion on two strategic issues for Kosovo: visa liberalization and the dialogue with Serbia, once again seeking the active role of Chancellor Merkel to provide the necessary strategic direction to their end. Kosovo’s acquired right to free movement must be formalized as soon as possible, while dialogue with Serbia can end in no other way than with the mutual recognition within the existing borders, and in accordance with the current constitutional order, as non-negotiable principles”.
