Government of Kosovo established today the Kosovo Fund for Loan Guarantees, which aims at employing 20 thousand people. In the opening ceremony, PM Isa Mustafa considered the launch of this fund as a historical moment.
“This incentive confirms that we are putting the necessary mechanisms in place to create a fund for doing business”, Mustafa said.
Mustafa said that the expected liberalization of visas for Kosovo citizens will enable new opportunities for doing business.
The speaker of parliament, Kadri Veseli said that parliament has approved the bill on Loan Guarantees, while saying that the main challenges of the economy are closely related to each other.
“By having access to funds, talented people will be able to do business”, Veseli said.
Meanwhile, US ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie said that the launch of the fund opens a new chapter for the economic development in Kosovo.
“This fund is an important achievement as it will help businesses and we expect to create 20 thousand new jobs in the 6 years to come”, Delawie said.
The German ambassador to Kosovo, Angelika Viets also talked about the creation of this fund, by considering it as “an excellent example” of offering opportunities to small and medium sized businesses in Kosoov.
Small and medium sized businesses are expected to have easier access to loans following the creation of this fund. /balkeneu.com/
