It seems that 2016 will be a good year for Kosovo’s cinema. For the first time in history, a short film called “Shok”, written and directed by Jamie Donoughue has been nominated for an Oscar.
This film has been nominated along with other films such as “Ave Maria”, “Day One”, “Stutterer” and “Everything will be okay”.
The events in the film take place during the war in Kosovo, when the country was under Serbia’s occupation. These events put at the test the friendship between two kids who fight to survive the war.
Playing in this film are Lum Veseli, Andi Bajgora, Melihate Qena, Aurita Agushi, Eni Cani, Armond Mornia, Eshref Durmishi, Sunaj Raca, etc.
The assistant director of the film is Blerta Basholli, while the photography director is the Scot Philip Robertson. /ibna/
