Kosovo’s national football team has managed to grab a draw against Finland, in the first qualifying match for 2018 FIFA World Cup.

In the Finnish stadium of Turku, Kosovo showed a stable and confident game.

Meanwhile, Finland scored the first goal through Paulus Arajuuri on the 18th minute.

After the conceded  goal, Kosovo intensified the game by putting pressure on Finland, but without results on the first half.

Kosovo continued to attack in the second half and on the 60th minute, Valon Berisha scored the equalizer through a penalty kick.

Finland’s manager, Hans Backe has praised Kosovo’s play, considering it a bold and dangerous team.

Meanwhile, Kosovo’s manager, Albert Bunjaku said that he is happy with the team’s appearance, stressing that the players showed character.

“Finland has a very good team, but these boys showed that they are well prepared. In the second half we played well. We have quick players who cause problems for the opponents. We must improve, because we will face even stronger opponents”, he said.

Kosovo will play its next match against Croatia on 6 October in “Lore Borici” stadium in Shkoder. /
