Before even finalizing the process of border demarcation with Montenegro, Kosovo’s authorities are planning to also carry out the border demarcation with Serbia.

Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj says that within two years, Kosovo is planning to finalize this process with Serbia.

“I am engaged to finalize the process for the border demarcation with Serbia within two years”, said the head of the diplomacy in Kosovo.

“If in the past, Serbia has followed a hostile policy toward our citizens, today it is following a hostile policy against our state, therefore the border demarcation should be the next topic on the agenda”, Hoxhaj said.

According to Hoxhaj, the agreement for an integrated management of the border, which was signed in 2011, has been just a legal bilateral recognition of the border of Kosovo and that demarcation must be the next step.

Meanwhile, Serb PM, Aleksandar Vucic says that the declarations of the Kosovo diplomat serve for domestic political consumption in Pristina.

He admits that talks with Kosovo will continue in order to finalize chapter 35 which talks about Kosovo.

In Brussels and in all the meeting that he has had, the head of the Serb government has issued peaceful declarations, by refusing, like he said, to speak ill of the politicians in Pristina, while he warned that he will soon meet them to talk about the Association of Serb Communes.

Meanwhile, IBNA news agency learns that the first two meetings of the new round of talks with Serbia will be of a technical level, followed by a meeting between the two prime ministers.

Border demarcation with Serbia will be part of the talks and this will be followed by the mutual recognition of the two states, compensation for war damages, the total dismantlement of Serbia’s parallel structures in Kosovo and a number of other topics. /balkaneu.com/
