Dairy producers are expected today in a meeting with Prime Minister Hoti.
Following the announcements of the dairy farmers for a protest march in the center of Pristina, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, will meet today with the dairy farmers. The meeting will take place at 09:00 (local time), while the protest was scheduled for 13:00 (local time).
Dairy producers have warned earlier about the protest, which is expected to take place today, amid dissatisfaction with the government’s disregard for their use of palm oil, which in many cases replaces dairy products in food production.
In a statement, Kosovo dairy farmers said they would pass with milk tanks through the Youth Palace car park across from Garibaldi Street, next to the Student Canteen, and gather at the Kosovo government building.
After the protest, around 14:00 they will hold a press conference to explain their demands and further actions.
Recently, Kosovo farmers, collection points and most dairy producers have set up the Union Coordination Council, thus uniting their fight against palm oil./ibna
