Corruption is mining public trust on the government, while the fight against it is not easy. This is why more efforts must be made.
This was declared today by US ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie during the USAID project launch event on the transparency and efficiency of local government authorities.
Delawie said that corruption mines public confidence.
“Corruption mines public confidence in the government. This sort of confidence is crucial for everything that Kosovo aspires for”, Delawie said.
As far as the USAID project is concerned, Delawie said that all mayors in the country have expressed their political will to make positive changes and have backed this incentive.
According to him, time has come to work together in order to make public procurement more transparent, more costly effective and above all, fulfill the needs of the citizens. /balkaneu.com/
