Kosovo committed to fight cross border crime

Republic of Kosovo is committed to fight cross border crime.

This was declared by the Minister of Interior of Kosovo, Skender Hyseni in the Convention of Police Cooperation in Southeastern Europe being held in Vienna.

Minister Hyseni briefed the participants that Kosovo has launched procedures for full accession in this Convention.

This convention coordinates actions aimed at delivering joint security goals; fight against cross border threats against law and order and international crime, by entering a partnership for security; increase and intensification of police cooperation; mutual support in issues concerning police in Southeast Europe, etc.

During these proceedings, minister Hyseni has met the Austrian Interior Minister, Volgang Sobotka and discussed with him issues of bilateral cooperation and the support in international institutions.

Minister Sobotka has offered to minister Hyseni the full support of his country for the accession of Kosovo at INTERPOL and the visa liberalization process./balkaneu.com/
