President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, has met in New York the representatives of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), Carol Bellamy, the head of the Board and Khalid Koser, executive director of the fund, to discuss on the involvement of Kosovo in the incentives of this organization to tackle extremism and prevent radicalism.
President Jahjaga said that she was happy with the decision of GCERF in December of this year to formalize Kosovo’s involvement as one of the five countries that will benefit a 25 million euro fund for incentive and projects which aim at preventing radicalism and violent extremism.
Jahjaga said that the fact that Kosovo has met the criteria to become one of the five countries in the world that benefit from the incentives of the fund on this phase and she welcomes the visit of the representatives of this organization for a visit to Kosovo. /ibna/
