Unidentified persons have attacked on Wednesday evening journalist Parim Olluri, who is editor in chief of the internet news portal, Insider.
The Association of Journalists in Kosovo said that the attack occurred near his home in Pristina. Olluri and his wife were admitted with small injuries in the hospital of Pristina.
Meanwhile, police have launched an inquest, but they haven’t offered any details on the authors or the motives of the attack.
Insider often handles issue relating to corruption. The attack was condemned by the Association of Journalists of Kosovo, which called on authorities to shed light upon this case as soon as possible, underlining that “such attacks threaten the freedom of speech”.
