“You Just Don’t Talk About It” is the exhibition of the artist from Kosovo, Alketa Xhafa Mripa, which will open on March 12 in the Gallery of Balkan Artists’ Guild (GAB) in London.
This has been confirmed by Kristale Ivezaj Rama, founder of Balkan Artists’ Guild in London, who said that the exhibition of the artist from Kosovo will stay open until 22 March of this year.
“The exhibition is realized in cooperation with 4M Group Architects and Designers with the support of the “Art City” in Tirana, which will print the catalogues of this exhibition”, she said.
Alketa’s exhibition relates to conceptual art, based on a variety of influences, using different art mediums such as: portraits, photography, film and installations.
With her works, Alketa sends us in one of the best love journes and at the same time, she confronts us with great pains.
She depicts motherhood, not only in the aspect of creating oneself, but also in the aspect of how motherhood relates to social transformations that we experience in an existentialist level.
The artist also studies relations between generations and how they have an impact on us personally and geopolitically.
Born in Pec, Alketa Xhafa Mripa went to London after ending high schooo, where she studied Art and History of Art. She has also opened exhibitions in Florence, London, etc. /ibna/
