The Kosovo National Institute of Public Health confirmed on Wednesday that eight people had been tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of outbreaks to 71.
“Today, on 25.03.2020, the Institute examined 34 samples obtained from hospital cases at Infectious Diseases Clinics and from the field. Eight of these samples came back positive”, the Institute announced in a press conference.
Following the confirmation of the latest cases, the total number of COVID-19 outbreaks has surged to 71. According to the Institute, all patients are contacts of already confirmed cases – four of them are located in Domanek of the Malisheva municipality; three in Pristina, and one in Vushtri. In the period 08.02.2020 to 25.03.2020, the authorities have tested 766 samples and 71 of them have come back positive. /ibna
