Thousands of people protested today in Pristina against the violence used by Macedonian police and the ruling of the Court of First Instance in Skopje, which sentenced to life in prison six Albanians accused of the murder of five Macedonians two years ago.
Protesters marched in a peaceful way from “Mother Teresa” central square to the Macedonian embassy, reports IBNA’s correspondent to Pristina.
They were holding banners on their hands with slogans such as: “Skopje is not alone”, “Where are Albanian governments, down with the traitors”, “Gruevski is the monster”, “Do not provoke us”, “Ethnic Albania”, etc.
In front of the Macedonian embassy, protesters have called for justice and equality for Albanians in FYR Macedonia. They have also burned several Macedonian flags.
IBNA’s correspondent reports that the protest went without any incidents. /ibna/
