Head of the Confederation of Industries (Konfindustria), Gjergj Buxhuku issued today a press statement where he demanded to the parliamentary economy committee and all policy makers to start and take adequate measures in order to overcome the worrying situation relating to the low level of lending offered by banks for the needs of the national economy.
“Konfindustria encourages the deliberation of the situation of the banking system by representatives of the majority and minority in the economy committee made a few days ago”, reads the statement.
This organization has repeatedly raised the concern of the lacking will of the banks to provide national economy with liquidity.
“Data show that lending for the economy has reached an all time low in 2014. Lending conditions in Albania are regarded as the most stringent ones in the countries of the region and EU, putting the Albanian industry in a very difficult competitive position and by encouraging businesses to address to the informal market to find the necessary financial sources in order to continue their activity”, says the head of Konfindustria, Gjergj Buxhuku. /ibna/
