The arrest and deportation of six Turkish nationals who have been issued with legal stay permits in Kosovo raises many questions.
The spokesperson of the European Union, Maja Kocijancic said in a statement that: “The rule of law is a key principle of the European Union. Being determined to build a democratic future in compliance with the Stabilization and Association Agreement signed with the European Union, all the actions of the institutions of Kosovo should focus on respecting the rule of law and universal human rights. Arbitrary actions in regards to the arrest or deportation go against these principles.
As far as Turkey is concerned, we understand the need to bring before justice all the people who were responsible for the coup d’etat, but every alleged crime should undergo international norms of extradition”, Kocijancic said. /balkaneu.com/
