In the court of first instance in the north of Mitrovica, trial against ambassador Sylejman Selimi on the count of war crimes is taking place.
Selimi, like the others who are part of the same trial, have pleaded innocent.
As former general commander of Kosovo Liberation Army, Selimi is suspected of causing bodily harms against two witnesses, hence the charges brought against him.
“It’s important for everyone to understand what’s going on. I’ll make everyone understand that these gentlemen are all innocent until the contrary is prove”, said the judge of the case, Philip Kanning referring to the defendants.
Meanwhile, the defense attorney, Tome Gashi has demanded for this case to join that of Drenica’s Group. /ibna/
