Kosovo’s biggest investors from the proclamation of independence until September 2013 are Albania and Turkey. This was concluded in a report issued by KIPRED.
Based on report “The intensification of relations between Kosovo and other countries of the region”, which was presented by Gent Gjikolli, millions of Euros have been invested by Turkey and Albania, in contrast to other countries who have invested much less.
According to Gjikolli, a major role in the intensification of relations between Kosovo and Albania has been played by the political activity or the high profile political visits, whereas as far as Turkey is concerned, the economic aspect or the investments that this country has made in Kosovo has contributed a lot.
The least collaboration with the countries of the region has existed with FYROM, Serbia and Montenegro.
30% of the general meetings of the representatives of the state in Kosovo have taken place with Albanian officials.
As far as lobbying is concerned, such thing has been done the most by Turkey and Albania, while Serbia has been the greatest obstacle of the independence of Kosovo. /ibna/
