Athlete from Kenya, Kiprotic Kirui is the winner of yesterday’s marathon held in Skopje. He won this race for the second year in a row. The second and third place was also occupied by Kenyans, Edvin Kipruti Kirva and Samuel Kumitai Kiptum.
“Last year it was different, it was hotter, while today it was better. A month ago I was in Nigeria training, but I had a slight injury on the leg and I could not give my best”, said Kiprotic Kirui, winner of “Viz Air Maratona” in Skopje.
Meanwhile, in the women marathon, the first place was occupied by Stela Barsosio from Kenya. The second and third place were also occupied by her fellow countrywomen, Salina Xhebet and Gledis Bivot.
The 13th edition of the “Viz Air Maratona” in Skopje saw the participation of around 8000 athletes from 52 countries of the world. /balkaneu.com/
