Jordanian Prime Minister demands cooperation in the areas of culture, education and tourism in Albania

Tirana, April 2, 2013

Minister of Foreign Affairs Edmond Panariti started his official visit in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. His first meeting was with the Jordanian Prime Minister, Mr. Abdullah Nsour, who asked that the Albanian government commit to expand further relations at all levels.

Mr. Nsour noted that Jordan is very interested in strengthening relations with the Albanian government considering Albania’s position as an important stability factor in the region, as well as a NATO member and an EU membership aspirant.

The Jordanian PM noted the need for wider cooperation in the areas of culture, education and tourism.

Mr. Panariti focused on economic cooperation and expressed his delight that a number of Jordanian companies are operating it the Albanian market and demanded strengthening of economic ties through the establishment of a Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation.

Panariti also hailed the latest reforms in Jordan aiming to consolidate democratic institutions. /ibna/
