Jess L. Baily will be the new American ambassador to FYR Macedonia.
Baily was nominated as part of six other American ambassador, among them the new ambassador of Montenegro and the vice US ambassador at the UNO, reports the American embassy to Skopje.
From 2011, diplomat Jess L. Baily served as deputy chief of the US mission in Ankara.
In order to be formalized, Baily must be voted by the American senate. He is then expected to take office and replace current ambassador Paul Volers.
Jess L. Baily is a career diplomat, who from 2010 to 2011 has worked as the head of the Bureau for Southeastern Europe in the US Department of State. From 2008 until 2010 he was head of the Bureau for Political Affairs at the UNO, from 2005 until 2007 he was head of the Center for Foreign Journalists in Washington and from 2002 until 2005 he worked as adviser for media at the US embassy in Hague. Baily was graduated in Yale and has a law degree from Columbia university. /ibna/
