EU chief of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini has appointed Jean Paul Jacque as independent investigator in order to lead an inquiry over corruption charges against EULEX.
After reports that EULEX has judges and prosecutors suspected of corruption, Mogherini has appointed today Jean Paul Jacque as an independent investigator in order to investigate these corruption allegations.
“Today, I appoint Mr. Jean Paul Jacque as an independent expert to analyze the implementation of EULEX mandate in Kosovo with the main focus on corruption allegations”, reads the press statement.
Jacque is a law professor with over 40 years of work experience and in four months time, he will report and offer recommendations to Mogherini about the accusations against EULEX.
Meanwhile, his work will be overseen by the EU. /ibna/
