Minister of Interior in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Gordana Jankulovska, declared today that some political parties are preparing to cause incidents on election day, in order not to recognize the results of the April 27 elections.

“I’m sorry to say that there are some political parties who are motivating their supporters to provoke incidents, in order to cause problems and find an alibi for poor results in the coming Sunday’s elections”, said Jankulovska.

She said that once again, she calls on the people not to fall victims of any provocation or calls for participation in violent acts and indecent behaviors, because everyone will be held responsible in front of the law.

“In such situations, citizens must be clear about the fact that they will not be able to be helped neither by leaders of political parties, nor those who provoke violence”, said minister Jankulovska. She added that her ministry is carefully following the situation before the April 27 elections.

According to the ministry of Interior, the elections will be secured by 7 thousand police officers throughout the country, who will guarantee order in a radius of 100 meters from the polling stations. /ibna/
