President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga has called on political parties in the country today to come back to parliament to engage in debate.
Jahjaga condemned the opposition’s actions two nights ago in front of a police station in Pristina.
Jahjaga said that disagreements must be solved through debate within the parliament of Kosovo and not through violence.
“The violence and what we saw two nights ago in the capital of Kosovo, are unacceptable and they must be condemned by all of us. All political disagreements must be addressed and be solved within the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. They must be solved through mechanisms and democratic means”, Jahjaga said.
The president said that parliament is the institution where MPs work in the interest of the citizens of Kosovo.
“I call upon MPs to return to the parliament of Kosovo and give way to dialogue in order to find understanding for the best interests of our state and our citizens”, she said. /ibna/
