The three leaders of the biggest political parties in the country, Hashim Thaci, Isa Mustafa and Ramush Haradinaj have met this morning with the ambassador of USA to Kosovo, Tracey Ann Jacobson.
The meeting has been held upon the request of ambassador Jacobson, where she has made it clear that United States are expecting the electoral campaign and June 8 elections to be free and democratic.
Although political leaders didn’t make any comments in front of the camera, LDK spokeswoman, Vjosa Osmani said that the meeting which lasted around an hour, discussed the electoral campaign and the fact that insulting language during the campaign must be avoided.
According to IBNA’s sources inside the meeting, the ambassador stressed that United States of America, which is a friendly country, supporter of the independence of Kosovo, expect every political leader to contribute in order to enable a quiet climate during the campaign and to hold elections according to democratic standards and values. /ibna/
