US ambassador to Pristina, Tracey Ann Jacobson, commented today the political and constitutional crisis in Kosovo.

The US diplomat said that the international community and the American embassy will not intervene in the solution of the political gridlock in Kosovo, as according to her, this is an internal political process of an independent country.

“Three months have gone by since the holding of the elections and the international community and citizens are interested to see the processes move forward. It’s in the interest of Kosovo not to have biased party politics”, declared Jacobson.

Jacobson has once again said that USA  and Kosovo share strategic interests about the talks with Serbia and threats from foreign conflicts.

“We’re expecting the leaders of Kosovo to cooperate for our joint strategic interests, including talks with Serbia, formation of the Special Court, EU integration, reform in the security sector and implementation of legislation to tackle the threat from foreign fighters”, said Jacobson.

Jacobson made these comments during the ceremony of the inauguration of “Musa Hoti” school in Mitrovica. /ibna/
