President of FYROM, George Ivanov has criticized the approach chosen for the solution of the name dispute, while today, PM Zoran Zaev and PM Alexis Tsipras are expected to hold another telephone conversation for the finalization of this long dispute.
“An important issue such as this one cannot be solved through the phone and it cannot be handled as a personal deal between the prime ministers of the two countries”, Ivanov’s cabinet declared in a press release, in response to last night’s declaration made by PM Zaev.
President Ivanov said that Zaev is speculating with his declarations that the failure to achieve a deal with Greece may threaten the country’s European and Atlantic perspectives and that it will also increase the number of domestic threats. According to him, the preservation of the constitutional name and finding a solution without constitutional amendments, is not against EU integration and the NATO. /ibna/
