The head of the parliamentary foreign affairs committee, Enverh Hoxhaj has started a three day visit to Israel, where he was received in the parliament of this country by members of the foreign committee and other representatives.
In the meeting with Eli Nacht, Hoxhaj has expressed the need of parliamentary cooperation, thus marking a new milestone in the relations between Kosovo and Israel.
According to Hoxhaj, good parliamentary cooperation would move relations between the two countries forward and it would lead to the recognition of Kosovo by Israel.
“Today I had the chance of meeting with Knesset MPs, with which I shared views on boosting parliamentary cooperation. We agreed on intensifying meetings, which would be finalized in the recognition of Kosovo. Kosovo needs to increase the number of its friends in the world and to expand the number of countries that recognize it”, said Hoxhaj after the meeting.
Hoxhaj also met with MP Rina Frenkel and discussed with her on exchanging experiences between committees and parliaments in order to boost parliamentary cooperation.
Hoxhaj was also received in a special meeting by representatives of the international department of commerce, in order to look into the possibility of economic cooperation in the domain of information technology, telecom, agriculture, etc.
Hoxhaj’s visit in Israel is the first one of this level, since the independence, while he’s also expected to meet officials of the Foreign Ministry and hold lectures. /ibna/
