FYROM’s Defence Minister, Zoran Jolevski said that if FYROM receives an invitation to adhere NATO in the Warsaw summit, this would positively contribute in the relations with Greece. Jolevski said this in the conference dubbed “The future of the NATO enlargement and the new borders of European security” in Washington.
“NATO membership invitation would help in the solution of the name dispute. We are aware of our problems with the southern neighbor regarding the name dispute, but we are also seriously committed in finding an acceptable solution”, Jolevski said.
He said that the country is contributing in the framework of the Alliance with its involvement in peace keeping missions. According to the Ministry of Defence, minister Jolevski said that the invitation given to Montenegro is important as according to him, NATO has issued a message that its doors are open. /balkaneu.com/
