Prime minister Edi Rama declared today that there will be interventions in the budget and which, contrary to other years, has exceeded projections by 32 million USD.

According to him, this amount will be used to start the reduction of the public debt as of this year, although it was agreed with the IMF to start the reduction of the debt starting from next year.

He said that it’s the first time that the review of the budget is marked by growth and not a fall, adding that this shows that for years in a row, the government’s projections were beyond reality.

Rama declared that 43 million USD will be allocated for the most deprived classes of society, paraplegics and tetraplegics and for the payment of the debts accumulated by the brutality of a government which based its work on propaganda.

Rama said that 152 million USD will go for investments in road infrastructure. He said that companies will be rigorously monitored in terms of the quality of their work.

As far as the health sector is concerned, he said that one of the most difficult sectors will receive urgent investments, consisting of 20 new emergency vehicles, helicopters, one for the north and one for the south and the finalization of the reconstruction of the Sanatorium.

As far as education is concerned, Rama declared that 700 million ALL will be funded for projects to pass from books to digital tablets, projects which will start to be implemented as of next year.

Among others, Rama said that 300 million ALL will be allocated for the Ministry of Interior in order to buy new equipment for police. /ibna/
