Investigations on the air crash in Skopje continue

Investigations continue on the crash of the private jet “Paper” several kilometers away from Skopje, where 6 Italian nationals lost their life. Public Prosecution has informed that the scene of the accident is being searched. Although access into the location is difficult, they say that they are coordinating their work and taking measures to discover the causes of the accident.

“The recordings will help to find out how the accident happened. Two Italian pilots are being interrogated by the Public Prosecution. They have flown two other airplanes and landed in Skopje airport”, sources from the Public Prosecution say.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Interior says that teams are in the mountainous area of Kozle, several kilometers from Skopje, where the plane crashed. The bodies of the six victims were found, while other evidence is being searched.

The plane crash that occurred on Tuesday evening claimed the life of 5 passengers and the pilot, Francesco Montagner, president of the “Aeroclub Treviso” club. The plane was travelling to Pristina, where they were planning to open a branch of the club. /
