Representatives of the international community commented today the 13th anniversary of the Ohrid Agreement.
US ambassador, Paul Wohlers and OSCE ambassador, Ralph Breth called on a more dynamic engagement of all sides for the full implementation of this peaceful agreement, which offers more rights to the Albanian community.
“The Ohrid Agreement which was signed 13 years later is a turning point which started with an important process of the integration of society and the construction of a multi-ethnic, modern and European state. It’s necessary to have a constant engagement of all parties involved in order to preserve the dynamic of its implementation. OSCE mission continues to encourage the government to be committed in the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement”, said the OSCE ambassador.
The US ambassador to Skopje has expressed his concern about the delays in the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement.
“Even after 13 years from the signature of the Ohrid Agreement, there are still differences between Macedonians and Albanians”, declared today the US ambassador, Paul Wohlers.
He called on political parties to work in order to overcome these differences and the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement. /ibna/
