International children dance festival starts in Pristina

The 14th edition of the international children traditional dance festival starts tonight in Pristina.

The opening ceremony will take place at 6 pm with dances from all ensembles that participate in this festival.

The scope of this festival is to promote the cultural values of the regions where ensembles come from and to create new bonds between children of different cultures.

This year’s festival will see the participation of 19 ensembles from the country and the region. The participating states are Albania, Croatia, Turkey, Montenegro and FYROM.

For 14 years, over 6 thousand dancers aged from 10 to 16.

This year, over 500 children from Kosovo and different countries of the region will dance around the capital under the sounds of traditional music.

This manifestation, which will last until 23 September will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Children Cultural Center in Pristina. /ibna/
