Head of the Macedonian Democratic League and former minister of Interior, Pavle Trajanov demanded measures to be taken against the potential threat posed by religious radicalism in FYR Macedonia.
“FYR Macedonia is facing a serious problem in terms of threats coming from Islamic religious radicalism if nothing is done to prevent the damaging consequences that there may be. I believe that the Balkan Global Conference which will see the participation of EU and NATO, must draft a strategy for the protection against religious radicalism”, said Trajanov.
He demanded for national law enforcement agencies to take all measures against warnings for an expansion of Islamic radicalism in FYROM.
Trajanov was the one to propose the law which prohibits citizens to participate in conflicts such as in Syria and Middle East.
Former minister of Interior has also talked about the Ohrid Agreement saying that this agreement was aimed at restoring peace and not to build a democratic state in the country. /ibna/
