Former minister of Interior, Gordana Jankulovska was questioned last night at the Skopje Criminal Court. The Special Prosecution suspects her of being involved in electoral rigging during the time when she was minister. Jankulovska is the main suspect in the “Titanic” case, which has been opened by the Special Prosecution.
After a few hours in court, she was not remanded into custody, although this was demanded by the prosecution. Meanwhile, the prosecution has announced that it will appeal against the court’s decisions.
“Titanic” is the first case of the Special Prosecution. This prosecution was established in June of last year as an independent institution with the consensus of all political parties. Its job is to investigate all registered incriminating materials published by the opposition. /ibna/
