In Kosovo, authorities say that they are making efforts to finalize the process of integration of the courts in the north of the country, mostly inhabited by Serbs, in the system of Kosovo.
The integration of courts must be finalized until 17 October, a date which was agreed by presidents of Kosovo and Serbia, Hashim Thaci and Aleksander Vucic in the EU brokered talks.
Minister of Justice in the government of Kosovo, Abelard Tahiri says that the sides are now working to implement the agreement on the justice system and according to him, this integration will be made in accordance to the laws of the country.
“We’re doing everything we can to implement the agreement which enables judges of the Serb community and other communities to be integrated in the justice system of Kosovo”.
The issue of courts in the North of Kosovo was part of the agreements reached between the two countries in April 2013 as part of the talks brokered by the EU. /balkaneu.com/
