The President of Albania, Ilir Meta has received in a meeting in Tirana, the Belgian PM, Charles Michel.
During this meeting, president Meta praised the excellent relations that exist between the two countries and recognized Belgium’s support for Albania, especially in the process of integration.
In continuation of the recommendation given by the European Commission to start accession talks with Albania, president Meta stressed the importance of a positive decision by the EU Council.
Meanwhile, Meta said that the country is committed to make further progress with the reforms concerning the five key priories, especially in the domain of the rule of law.
The head of the Albanian state has also praised the intensification of bilateral cooperation in the domain of illegal migration and organized crime. /ibna/
