The RS Ministry of Science and Technology, in cooperation with several institutions from Serbia, organize competition for the best technological innovation in this year. The fund for awards this year is 35 000 BAM (17 500 Euro) and finalists will be educated to promote their product.
“The goal of the competition for the best technological innovation is to promote innovations and entrepreneurship, support innovators, assistance in launching a business, promotion of innovation and stimulus of their commercialization, said RS Minister of Science and Technology”, Jasmin Komic said at the press conference in Banja Luka.
He emphasized that this year’s competition is organized in the category of realized innovation which would be improved, protected and promoted. There are special awards planned for the most successful high school team and the most successful student team.
The registration of projects for this competition is from April 1 to May 4. The process of selection will be organized in several rounds of which the first round will be eliminatory. In this phase, biggest attention would be paid on originality and the real possibility of market verification.
“Every competition team that qualify for the second round of competition gets the right to free education in the form of training that will be organized in RS and Serbia. Only the most successful competitors will get the opportunity to present their ideas to the public at a meeting with potential investors, in the final competition”, Komic explained.

Unfortunately, the competitors can only be from RS and not from BiH’s other entity, the Federation of BiH.
“Competitors can be only teams which are verified by RS Ministry of Science and Technology. It means that F BiH teams cannot participate on this competition. Next year, however, organizers will try to organise this event on a regional level, giving the opportunity to all innovators to participate, Komic told IBNA.
