Consumer Price Index in Albania continues to grow. This is confirmed by the recent data issued by the Institute of Statistics, according to which, inflation index, measured through the Eurostat method, is 3.2%.
This level continues to be above the European average.
“The biggest price increase of 7,8% was registered by the ‘Food and non-alcoholic beverages’, followed by ‘Rent, water, fuel and energy’ with 2,1%, ‘Educational services’ with 1,2% and ‘Leisure and culture’ with 1,0%, ‘Alcoholic beverage and tobacco’ with 0,8%, etc. Meanwhile, prices for ‘Clothes and shoes’ and ‘Home furniture and maintenance’ went down by 0,7%”, Albanian experts of statistics say. /balkaneu.com/
