Head of the Albanian Customs, Elisa Spiropali declared today that in the 12 month period, there has been a significant increase of incomes compared to the same period a year ago, something which puts this institution in front of the responsibility to keep up with this pace. Spiropali’s declarations were made during a meeting of Crown Agents agency with stakeholders.
The head of customs said that in September, incomes from customs were 28,4% higher than September 2013, or 3 billion ALL more than September last year.
“It’s a high figure which puts us in front of a responsibility to keep up with this pace and improve the performance of Customs. The constant rise makes us optimistic that this pace will carry on in the future”, said Spiropali.
Spiropali also said that cases of violations where businesses evade taxes have been identified and that efforts are being made to fight ways and fight informality. /ibna/
