The first incidents have taken place in Kosovo ahead of the early parliamentary elections of June 8.

Militants of the Democratic Party of Kosovo have prevented on Wednesday an electoral rally of LDK in the village of Brobonic, in Mitrovica.

This has been denounced by the LDK branch in this city, which said that supporters of this party have been attacked by militants of PDK, pointing their finger to the “supporters of the vice chairman of PDK, Kadri Veseli”.

Kosovo police has been informed and its forces have intervened in order to remove the militants of the party in power.

Democratic League of Kosovo said that it condemns the attack and demands from investigation authorities to shed light upon the case and bring “the instigators of this vandal act toward democracy and rule of law” to justice.

Another incident occurred yesterday afternoon in the village of Zatric in Rahovec.

The administrator of the elementary school in Zatric hasn’t permitted the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo to hold an electoral rally that was scheduled to take place. He refused to open the school gates for the rally to take place.

Police in Rahovec have arrested this person. The rally didn’t take place at the location where it was scheduled and instead, it was held in the premises of a house. /ibna/
