IMF Director Christine Lagarde will probably meet with Greece’s Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on January 21, in Davos, in order to clear the issues that bother both the IMF and the Greek government. This information is attributed to sources of Bloomberg, but neither the IMF nor the Greek government has confirmed it till now.
Anyway, according to Bloomberg the issues to be discussed will be the social security bill and the Greek pension system as well as other “necessary reforms” and also the sustainability of the Greek debt. There is also the issue of the active participation of IMF in the decision making about the future of Greek economy -the Greek government wants it “out”, but Germans and the USA government wants it “in”.
