The Albanian government was issued today a 36 million euro loan from the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This way, the loan that the IMF has been issuing to Albania in the past three years amounts to 300 million euros.
IMF says that the performance criteria have been delivered and that there has also been progress in the agenda of structural reforms.
“Economic recovery has been sustained by significant investments in energy and the gradual recovery of domestic demand. Deficit of current account has been expanded, but on the other hand, inflation is recovering”, the IMF says. /balkaneu.com/
