Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj declared today that he’s against the idea of redefining borders and swapping of territories between Kosovo and Serbia, saying that this is “an invitation for new tragedies in the Balkans”.
In a posting on Facebook, Haradinaj said that this idea means instability and insecurity.
“The constant debates over the redefinition of borders and territorial exchanges are an invitation for new tragedies in the Balkans, which leads to destabilization and insecurity. This idea is a threat for long-term political investments and security for stability and peace in Kosovo and the region”, Haradinaj declared.
According to him, the legally binding agreement between Kosovo and Serbia as part of the dialogue between the two countries with the brokerage of the European Union, should result in mutual recognition and sustainable peace. /ibna/
