The Hungarian National Council of Transylvania (CNMT), through its national leader Laszlo Tokes and Szekler National Council President Balazs Izsak, filed a complaint against President Klaus Iohannis to the Supreme Court.
The head of state is accused of inciting ethnic hatred and discrimination. According to a CNMT press release, the proceedings began after Klaus Iohannis’ statement on Szekler’s statute of autonomy and “should lead to a prosecution [of Klaus Iohannis] after the end of his presidency”. /ibna
