The lifting of the house arrest imposed on the leader of the Golden Dawn Nikos Michaloliakos and his wife and party MP, Eleni Zaroulia decided by the Council of Appeals.
The Judicial Council, with two decisions issued Wednesday, (numbers 1246 and 1247/2015) ordered the lifting of the restrictive term of house arrest with 24-hour police custody, imposed on the two defendants for membership in and running a criminal organization.
With its ordinances for both the leader of the Golden Dawn and his wife, the court replaces the terms of the house arrest with mandatory appearance three times a month in the Police Department of the place of residence of the couple.
In the next few days, the Council of Appeals is expected to decide on the removal of housing restriction of the accused in the case of a criminal organisation, Golden Dawn MP Nikos Michos, at the proposal of the competent Prosecutor.
The Appeals Prosecutor, P. Panagiotopoulos also suggests replacing the term, with mandatory regular appearance at the Police Department.
