In Albania, President of Republic has granted the request of six senior officials of Self Determination to be issued with Albanian nationality and the passport of this country.
Passports have been issued for the founder of Self Determination, Albin Kurti, MP and current head of the party, Visar Imeri, organizational secretary, Dardan Molliqaj, MPs Glauk Konjufca, Aida Derguti and member of the party’s committee, Liburn Aliu.
Spokesman of Self Determination, Frasher Krasniqi says that the heads of Self Determination have received the citizenship through a decree by President Bujar Nishani.
IBNA contacted with the Secretary General of the President, Florian Nuni. He said that the decree for the senior officials of Self Determination has been issued in August 2016.
The decree was announced through an express procedure in the framework of an exempt article which so far has benefited public personalities from Albania and Kosovo.
Earlier, Albanian nationality has been benefited by the mayors of Djakovica and Pristina and by several football players and singers from Kosovo.
Self Determination is currently the main opposition party in Kosovo. This party has often been considered as a political organization carrying out extreme acts. Recently, it has called for the agreement of demarcation between Kosovo and Montenegro to be refused. /balkaneu.com/
