Former head of Secret Services arrested in Skopje on suspicion of financial crimes

Macedonian police have arrested this morning in the capital, Skopje, the former head of the Secret Services of FYROM, Slobodan Bogoevsky.

The arrest has taken place during a large scale operation carried out by police and Special Forces.

Police sources say that two lawyers and several other persons are amongst those arrested. The same sources say that Mr. Bogoevsky was arrested in his home in Debar Mehalle, Skopje.

Unofficial sources say that the arrested persons have been allegedly involved in financial frauds along with several Slovenian nationals, but further details are yet to be unveiled.

During the course of Thursday, the FYROM Ministry of Interior will announce the full details of the arrest through a press conference. /ibna/
