EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn visited Skopje today, where he said that the country is in the right path. However, Hahn stressed that more work should be done.
“We need to see concrete results in the justice system and public administration”, EU Commissioner Hahn said.
I call on the opposition to be constructive and address issues which relate to national interests.
“I see changes as a result of a different political environment. I think that there is progress”, Hahn said.
Meanwhile, PM Zoran Zaev said that he is expecting his country to be granted a recommendation to launch accession talks.
“We will yield results and we expect European institutions to see our progress”, Zaev said.
Asked about the issue of the name dispute with Greece, Zaev said that there’s a positive climate between Skopje and Athens and that he hopes that this moment will be exploited to find a solution. /balkaneu.com/
