The EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn has stressed once again that there will be no progress if Kosovo and Serbia do not normalize their relations by signing a legally binding agreement.
“As I’ve stressed before, dialogue brokered by the EU between Pristina and Belgrade is key for the normalization of relations, in order for both country to make progress in the path of European integration. This has also been made clear in the strategy, which says that dialogue must be finalized through a legally binding agreement between the two countries”, Hahn says in his letter dressed to deputy PM Hoxhaj.
Hahn also says that the new strategy for the enlargement of the European Union includes all countries of Western Balkans and above all, it enables accession to all states individually based on merits.
Hahn made these declarations in the letter of response sent to deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj who had sent a letter to the commissioner, clarifying Kosovo’s position concerning the new strategy. /balkaneu.com/
